Retirement

Jim’s wife, the love of his life, Sheryl Martinson, died at about the same time that he retired from his architectural practice. A double blow. To fill the great emptiness, he started teaching travel sketching at Marine Folk ArtSchool, did figure drawing with the Nimble Observers, joined the Osceola Writers Group, traveled more, and sketched more and more. This latter led to his first book, Capture the Moment: An Architect’s Guide to Travel Sketching.
